I have been involved in training students to become Driving Instructors since 1990. I am on the O.R.D.I.T. Register (Officially Recognised Driving Instructor Trainer). Since 1999 I have been Training Driving Instructors to pass the Part One Test of Theory, the Hazard Perception Test, the Part Two Test of Driving Ability, the Part Three Test of Instructional Ability and have helped numerous Instructors attending for Check Tests improve their grades.

Based in Walton-on-Thames I have contacts with many Driving Schools in the local area and schools in neighbouring counties - Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent, Essex and Greater London.

    Part One Driver Instructor Training

Part One Training is not classroom based, it is distance learning. This is undertaken by the Trainee usually at the Trainee's home. Part One Training is free. Help is available by phone or e-mail.

    Part Two Driver Instructor Training

Part Two Training is £55 for 2 hours and can be in my training car or the trainee's own car. There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions for this, as the trainee will be advised during each session on their progress.

    Part Three Driver Instructor Training

Part Three Training is £55 for 2 hours and can be in my training car or the trainee's own car. All subjects on the syllabus will be covered. Again, there is no minimum or maximum number of sessions for this as the trainee will be advised during each session as to their test readiness. However, in order to obtain a trainee licence, students will need to complete a minimum of 40 hours of part three training. Full details will be available at the initial introduction.

Part Two Training and Part Three Training can commence before Part One has been passed. Or training can be organised to suit the individual.

To hire my car for a Part Two or Part Three test is £70 including use of the car for one hour prior to the test.

    Testimonials

I first met Kim about eight years ago, when I first started doing my driving instructor training with him. It was for my part two training that we first met. I thought I was a good driver. With humour and determination Kim brought my driving standard up to the required level, no mean feat! When attempting to become an "Approved Driving Instructor" it is at times a thankless task, so you need a trainer who will motivate you. Kim will do that!

I can't thank you enough for your help (on going I can still see and hear you like a ghost in my car) in starting me on this learning and teaching process, that doesn't seem to end.
1st time pass parts 1, 2 & 3. Grade 5. I have a very successful driving school all through recommendations and a very high pass rate. ....
I could not have done any of this without the foundation that Kim gave me. Teaching is a two way street if you want to learn you will find it hard to find any body better at teaching than Kim.
